The Nintendo Switch Lite is real and comes in September

Nintendo announced the rumored Nintendo Switch Lite. The standard edition of the Nintendo Switch Lite system launches on Sept. 20 at a suggested retail price of $199.99 and will be available in three different colors: yellow, gray and turquoise. A special Pokémon-themed version of the newly announced Nintendo Switch Lite system will be available in North America starting Nov. 8, also priced at $199.99.

About the Nintendo Switch Lite

The Nintendo Switch Lite device can play all games in the robust Nintendo Switch library that support handheld mode, although some games will have restrictions. The Switch Lite has no detachable Joy-Con controllers and it can't connect to a TV. The Nintendo Switch Lite's screen (5.5") is smaller than the one in the original Switch (6.2").

With the Nintendo Switch Lite, the Mario company basically kills the Nintendo 3DS. It's the next generation handheld console from Nintendo.
